"Command, this is Odyssey. The colony is thriving."

"Copy, Odyssey. Good work."

The Builder leader appeared beside her. "Your people work hard."

"They have to. This is their only home."

The leader's eyes glowed. "We have found a second planet. Earth-like. Uninhabited. It could be a new home for our people."

Elena nodded. "Then we'll help you build it."

The Odyssey launched, carrying Builders and supplies. The new planet was beautiful-blue oceans, green forests, white clouds.

"Welcome home," Elena said.

The Builders wept, their silver skin gleaming.

"Thank you," their leader said.

"Thank you for trusting us," Elena replied.

The colony grew, two species working side by side.

The stars watched in silence.

The universe was vast.

But now, it was theirs. Together. Always.
